Tigers Continue to have Cedar’s Number

February 18th, 2009 · No Comments · Boys Basketball, Game Summary Boys

For a team as good as Cedar, it is hard to figure out why Hurricane has dominated the Redman. But for the third straight time this season, Hurricane has ran away with a solid victory, this time pulling away 50-33. It was the second time in a week the Tigers have dominated Cedar, beating them by nearly the same score 50-31 last time.

Seniors Ryan Smith and Gordie Dotson shared the majority of the scoring load Tuesday, combining for six 3-pointers and 28 points as Hurricane wins their 14th straight game. The Tigers were a perfect 12-0 in Region 9 play and last tasted defeat when they played West last December.

Hurricane will now face Ben Lomond in the first round of the 3A playoffs Friday at 6:00 p.m. With a win, the Tigers would then advance to Thursday’s quarterfinal game at 11:10 a.m., played at the E Center in West Valley.
