Tigers Split in USG Tournament

Hurricane ended the Morgan Trojan football season a month ago, and they defeat the Trojans in basketball Friday to win their first of two games in the Utah Summer Games Tournament held at Southern Utah University. Senior Ryan Smith led Hurricane with a dozen points.

In the second game of the USG tournament, the Tigers ran into a talented West Panther team, who remained undefeated in knocking off Hurricane 57-43. 

Hurricane 48, Morgan 44
In a complete team effort, Hurricane had seven different players score to beat Morgan on the road.

Chris Barnes and Ricardo Saldana combined for 34 points as the Panthers remain undefeated.
